I want to buy a laptop but i dont know which is the right brand. I basically will use it for music, videos, surfing the net, chatting online, creating application files, doing projects such as slides. I also want one that is effective in blocking viruses and dangerous worms and trojan horse. Which laptop do u think i should buy and why you think it is the better computer?
Initially, we will service home computers, cleaning them of viruses and spyware. The target market’s age is 30-65.
After approximately 6 months, the company will expand to service other businesses.

I have 2 viruses that my Anti-Virus(Webroot Antivirus with AntiSpyware) protection can not delete. There called Trojan/Virtum-Gen and Mal/Emogen-K. I tryed searching a way in how to remove them but what i think the effect on one of them is that every time i search something on any search engine about a virus it brings this advertisement page up. Another effect that occurs is that it will not allow me how to access to control panel. It always says Your system Administrator has disabled the control panel.
we do have antivirus to remove virus from software,but wat if the virus enters hardware…wenevr i start my pc,the window of my documents gets open…this is happening evrytme…it started wen i connected my pendrive which is mp3 playr too,to pc…wen i try2 open the pen drive program also,my documents gets opend instead of E drive..
I have a computer that has a virus and I connect it to the internet. I bought a new laptop and also wanted to connect it but didn’t want to infect it.
First question.
If I remove the computer that has a virus/spyware from the internet connection then I connect my laptop on the internet connection, will my laptop still be infected with the virus and spyware?
Second question.
How about if I connect them together by LAN or wireless? WIll the virus tranfer if I use LAN? Will it transfer if I use wireless?
I cannot get online to download a virus tool because the computer keeps freezing up
I tried to get the spywares to get rid of it but it will not allow them in. Help
I dont think I have any antivirus or firewall software installed now on my main comp and its running just fine…but the associate at bestbuy told me I should buy the antivirus package… Do i REALLY need it or is he just trying to boost his commission??….
Which one? I need one that can scan and safely remove the viruses from my system files.

I’m a design student and on a budget. I really like macs and I use them all the time a school. This computer has all of the software I’ll need and it looks like it could be a really great buy. I’m just not sure I want to sacrifice the mobility of a laptop for a desktop. Plus, there is no warranty.
The HP PC I’m looking at is really nice. It’s ,000 and would be able to do what I want it to, but I would have to purchase the Adobe Creative Suite (which won’t be too bad since I can get it for 0 with the student discount). Also, I really don’t want to deal with viruses. My Toshiba got hit this past March and I had to completely wipe the hard drive and re-install xp to even get things up and running again.

My friend fell for a pop up that said she had spyware on her computer and had to download this software to get it off etc. Of course it’s a virus and now that and spyware is everywhere on the computer. You cannot open anything and everything takes forever to load.
Obviously she will have to reload windows vista and will probably loose all her files. How do you go about reloading windows? Must you first remove the spyware/virus? If so how do you do this? Also when reloading windows do you put the disc in when you restart the computer and press f11 or f12 for more options or do you reinstall windows right from the desktop.

if i buy like a anti-virus or firewall program, do i get to install on both of my computers and get full benefits from the software to both the computers? or do i have to buy two set of softwares?

I cannot afford to go buy antivirus software at this time, but I dont want to leave my computer unprotected. I do have a firewall and a phishing filter, but i think i need more protection than that. Any advice on where to find free antivirus software online?
My computer shuts down when I play certain games and It has just recently started doing that. I have been playing these same games for months and believe the problem is coming from malicious software.
2 Laptops seem rather decent to me
and the laptop’s ability to play games (e.g. N64 Emulators and games like Halo and Oblivion) is pretty much the deciding factor between these computers. That and overall function.
The first laptop which I am leaning towards is a
HP Dv5000 LAPTOP(intel 1.7 dual pro, 2g ram, 80g, 256m graphic card)
The guy is asking 0 for this
Is this a good deal?
Its used but in good condition.
Also this guy will apparently install Norton Anti virus for a year

I have a trojan virus ony computer, and I keep having to use AVG virus scanner tofins it. Once I find it, I go to the file and delete it. It keeps attacking iTunes, so when I deleted the files, I reinstalled iTunes, and I got warnings that said the virus was Back! This means whatever is attacking my computer is still on here. What should I do? How do I remove the trojan? How do I remove the cause of the trojan?

My 30-day free suscription to Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security is almost over and I was wondering if I should continue subscribing or buy a new one. I mean, I also love Norton Anti-Virus 360. I just can’t seem to choose! Can people recommend anti-virus software, like what they think is the best one? Like from personal experience or reviews?
